About us

Service is our business

Fruit Quality Studio Africa Ltd is an independent quality control company registered in Kenya and based in Nairobi. We inspect perishable produce, fresh avocados above all, then mangoes, vegetables and herbs, at packhouses, cold stores, depots and ports across East Africa, arrange arrival surveys at destination and train the industry to the standards the world's markets apply.

What we stand for

Independent, methodical, on time

01

Independent

We do not grow, buy, sell or broker produce. We hold no commission or trading position in any consignment we inspect, our fee is never linked to the outcome, and no party may direct our findings. Where an underwriter or lender requires it, we sign an independence and conflict of interest declaration.

02

Methodical

Every inspector works to a written standard operating procedure with calibrated equipment, samples by the same rules, photographs in the same order and reports in the same structure. Every report is reviewed and released by a senior inspector.

03

On time

Fruit does not wait. We plan attendance around the packing programme, report the same day and escalate serious findings immediately, so that decisions are taken before the container closes rather than after it arrives.

Experience

European inspection discipline, East African knowledge

Our inspection method and reporting system are those used for fresh produce arriving in European ports, where consignments from every origin are judged against the same standards every day. Our team adds two decades of experience in East African horticulture: growing, packing and exporting avocados, running packhouses and cold chains, and working with exporters, importers, regulators and development programmes across Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda and Burundi.

Since starting operations in 2026 we have inspected export containers for Kenyan exporters and European importers shipping to Europe, the Middle East and Asia, trained exporters and quality staff in Nairobi, and designed an independent quality control framework for insured and financed perishable cargo.
